The latest EP from Orlando's underground mathcore-punk act, Abuse. This release has a noticeable old school feel, with the band also exploring a heavier doomish sound.
The greatest jazz record of all time. If this doesn't move you, you probably have no soul.
I don't know what else to say about this album, other than I have been listening to it routinely, and it never loses my interest. I catch myself humming the melodies constantly. A truly infectious work, and some might say "...the finest piece of music ever recorded."
Some of you may remember Zelophilia, who made my best of 2011 list. Well, the driving force behind aforementioned band, Tom Noyd & Noydian Records, needs your help.
After 5 years, the supreme masters of instrumental tech metal have returned. "Skullgrid" was a deeply intelligent masterpiece, so this is truly exciting. Behold...the Arctopus are planning on releasing their new album, "Horrorscension", sometime this year. Oh yeah, the artwork is excellent too.
Here's Behold... performing Canada live, my personal favorite and probably one of their best tunes.
Some of you may have been wondering why the amount of posts here have lessened (although many more probably didn't notice or give a rat's ass). I recently relocated to San Francisco to start a new job, and being that I'm the sole contributor of this blog, it's sadly gone neglected. This is mostly due to the fact that I don't have my own place yet or even own a laptop, and posting / editing with a smartphone is a bitch.
Uninteresting personal bullshit aside, some exciting news from the Dysphoria camp:
"We would like to proudly present a cover-art of our new LP, "To The Perfect Form of Modern Species," tracking of which we have already finished! Album shall contain 10 tracks of 37-minutes chaos. Cover-art for our long-awaited release was done by Alex from Mayhem Project (St. Petersburg, Russia)."
