Fake Asian Rolex - 74K34514NR013X

Digging through my list of "Submissions I Was too Lazy to Post," I found Fake Asian Rolex, a French grind'n'roll band I had somehow manged to ignore on all forms of social media. It's too bad, because the band is a lot of fun, they just have a name that sets off all spam red-flags.

Image Every Time I Die with high pitched vocals and 90's powerviolence influence.

Orphan Donor - Empty

If I hadn't of been so lazy/preoccupied in 2013, this would've probably made my Best of list. Sick techgrind featuring the drummer from Secret Cutter.

You can download all of Orphan Donor's tunes free via Bandcamp.

Favorite tracks: You Can Buy Perfect, Letting the Vampire Kill You.

The Colour Line - Riff City EP

Sifting through the last.fm for new bands, I stumbled upon yet another sick UK tech metal act, The Colour Line. Fans of The Dillinger Escape Plan should probably enjoy this, and much to my delight, the bands holds many similarities with another favorite UK techgrind band from the days of Myspace, Nervaxis.

CHON - Audiotree Live Set

CHON, possibly my favorite underground band of the last few years, recently did a live set over @ Audiotree. The band's sound has certainly evolved since their demosachieving new levels of focus with their song writing, and adopting a more "chill" vibe. Embedded above is the playlist in it's entirety.

Sectioned - SHDDRSCTND Split

Sometime ago I posted about Frontierer, an international two piece playing heavy and technical grooves in the vein of The Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza and Ion Dissonance. Guitarist Pedram Valiani is also involved in another similar project, Sectioned, which plays a more slightly more eclectic blend of hardcore. The aforementioned grooves, however, are not entirely abandoned (see Prodigal Scum).

Sectioned's entire discography can be download free/name your price on Bandcamp.

Convert - 7"

Speaking of Destroyer Destroyer3/5ths of the band (vocalist Jamie Schnetzler, guitarist Corey Ray, and bassist Lucass McRay) have formed another project called Convert. Those of you expecting another Destroyer Destroyer might be disappointed, as the band has deviated from it's original techgrind/mathcore sound to something closer to traditional hardcore and grind. However, their sound is as furious as ever, and they've proven themselves to be versatile song-writers.

The Divorcée - Heartfucker

Some more radness from the UK, noisecore act The Divorcée just dropped their debut EP. This should definitely please those of you who enjoy heaviness and frantic screaming a la Destroyer Destroyer or spazzy art-grind freakouts (...and I'm assuming that's probably all of you), so strap on your straitjacket and commence convulsing.

Delta Sleep - Management / EP

FFO: Minus the Bear, Don Caballero. Great feel-good mathrock from the UK.

Vermin Womb - Permanence

Following the demise of Denver's Clinging to the Trees of a Forest Fire, deathgrind heavyweight Ethan McCarthy (also of Primitive Man), has formed another project, Vermin Womb. McCarthy's vocals are monstrous, and his guitar work is perfectly suited for the genre. The band lives up to the name, as their sound is truly filthy.

Galaga: The Movie: The Kickstarter

My friends in Galaga: The Movie have started a Kickstarter campaign with a modest goal of $1000 to cover touring costs. I've posted about them many times in the past, and they're two truly great human beings (see @ 1:45 of the clip) who have been putting out great music for the better part of the last decade. Please help them reach their goal so they can go on tour and play lots of shows.
