Mathcore legends The Sawtooth Grin have finally unveiled a new demo complete with vocal tracks from their monster vocalist, Rich Lombardi (Cloacal Kiss / Old Painless) and powerhouse percussionist, Jon Karel (The Number Twelve Looks Like You / Starring Janet Leigh). This is truly exciting, as it's been sometime since any official release, and only scattered voxless demos have trickled from their reverberation account.

An Isle Ate Her - Discography

As some of you have no doubt heard, An Isle Ate Her has gone on indefinite hiatus. Truly a sad day for underground grind, but also characteristic of the genre. I was really rooting for these guys, and had hoped to hear more of what they had to offer, but least they have left us with their magnum opus, Phrenia. Here is every recording by the group, including their original demo, "Motel Art," which they released as Feeding the Foxes.

One of my favorite acts in underground grind, Bedlam of Cacophony has truly outdone themselves with this release. Featuring an all-star lineup of guest vocalists (Travis Ryan of Cattle Decapitation / Murder Construct, Cameron "Big Chocolate" Argon of Disfiguring the Goddess / ex Burning the Masses, Ramon Mercado of Pencil Lead Syringe), as well as their own Lee Artavia of IVEBEENSHOT, this release is not to be overlooked.
You can download all of their other releases here.

Plague Widow - Assimilated Subconcious

The interwebs are abuzz about Plague Widow, whom without even a recording generated considerable attention via studio teasers. Their debut track has finally been revealed, and it certainly does not disappoint. Featuring Hal Rotter of Slaughterbox and recorded at the almighty Mayhemeness Studios, their debut EP is slated for an early 2012 release.

Zelophilia - Lust, Loathing, and Love

Lust, Loathing, & Love cover art

My friend and former bassist of Antarctica, Mr. Tom Noyd, just released his new band's full-length, and it is an eclectic and operatic metal masterpiece. With influences ranging from Meshuggah and Dillinger, to Daughters and Mike Patton, there is something for everyone here...truly diverse and interesting stuff that is generally entertaining. You can download the full-length (with bonus tracks) here, and if your interest is not yet piqued, watch this commercial:
