Armed For Apocalypse - The Road Will End

Armed For Apocalypse have recently dropped their 2nd full-length, "The Road Will End," and it's a sludgefest of epic proportions. This album is ridiculously heavy, and from the beginning of "The Starting Line Is A Tripwire," it's nonstop headbanging and catchy riffage. Tracks like "The Well" and "Built to Kill" also display some the band's best song writing to date. Also posted above is footage from the time these dudes played my old living room, performing "We Fell From the Bottom" off their debut release.

Mystery solved. #12 has unveiled the first episode in a series of videos documenting their formation and early years, including live footage. Also, I'd like to say editing this properly from a smart phone is a bitch, but I totally intend on fixing this later. No promises on that Best of 2012 list though. It's fucking August, all right?

It seems #12 may be making some kind of release this year, most suspect live footage, as made apparent by the image above which was posted to the band's Facebook today.

Defeated Sanity - Passages Into Deformity trailer

Defeated Sanity has released a teaser for their upcoming album, "Passages Into Deformity," which is slated for a May 2013 release, and so far it's sounding pretty nasty. Although they've undergone numerous lineup changes, the original spirit of their sound seems to have been retained, despite the death of guitarist and founding member, Wolfgang Teske. Lille Gruber, Teske's son and drummer, is the other founding member, making this the ultimate death metal family band. Not to mention the past involvement of other current notable musicians like Christian Muenzner of Necrophagist and Obscura, and AJ Magna of Disgorge.
